as far as the policies go Danatural, i dont know if there are any. Mr Bush is acting alone in his decision to infrindge upon the rights of the people and i believe there is no foreign policy that supports his actions. will he go domestic to find a scapegoat for these attacks? i hope not, then the youth citizens will be victims once again. He sends a strong message to the u.s. that they must all act accordingly (wave the flag, have alot of u.s. pride). the only thing protecting the citizens is the (state) economy itself but who knows where the money is coming from. no one cares as long as it keeps coming.

Booga, bush has plenty of support. New legislations are being passed daily. Here in Canada our government proposed a bill that was so brutal in its stereotyping and violations that it had to be reconsidered. But yet a new bill has been passed which isnt all that great anyway. In parts of the U.K., they already have surveillance cameras in the street. Soon enough im sure these will be implemented in North America. Violent action only provokes violent counter action. The public has pathetic armaments as oppsed to the government, so there is no way to wage a proper battle. And as we can see, insignificant stikes dont work as it only brings about oppression.

Perhaps you meant it in a different way booga, but i strongly disagree when you say the only thing saving us is the state. The state only develops because of the division of people into classes. This of course leads to contraditions and struggle. So a state is implemented to hold down the already oppressed. Contrary to what someone like imperial power might say or any other capitalist, the state is not a form of concilitating classes. It is meant to keep "order" which legalizes oprression by moderating the collision between classes. To quote Lenin,
"The state is the product and manfestation of the irreconcilability of class antagonisms. The state arises when, where and to the extent that class antagonisms cannot be objectively reconciled. And, converserly, the existence of the state proves that the class antagonisms are irreconcilable."
The state is to use lenin's word, "the organ" of rule of a definite class(upper class) which canot reconcile its difference with its opposite. So as we can see the state only arises in a point in society when it is divided into classes.

i wasnt aware of any new legislation but then again i spend most of my time in old books and chasing my own tail. Bush does have a good NSA person, i give her much credit and to hear her speak is admirable.

all this of the state i did not grasp too well but i will. we were taught the state is responsible for the happiness of the people. to me the state represents in animal form like a big crockadile-one who swims in the rivers of a dream where i and little children calming escape ashore it's viciousness.
