So, does anyone have any thoughts? Today is the day called for national demonstrations.

The executive of ASSÉ, meanwhile, have called for a strategic retreat (then backpedaled and said they merely wanted to discuss it when confronted with massive anger from within the organization).

The big unions, unsurprisingly, have refused to join the students.

I need to catch up on the news about this, but it definitely deserves support. This has arrived on the heels of struggles in academia in Ontario and B.C., and whatever might create some kind of nationwide momentum is very much needed right now. Let the big unions refuse to join. The less the people wait on collaborationist union bureaucrats for a call to action, the more progress there will be.
