In this picture, a political map is shown. The Spanish state is shown in light yellow and the region of Andalusia is highlighted in red.

Andalusia had ever been a PSOE (Spanish Socialist Workers' Party - social liberal) territory - PSOE has been ruling for nearly 40 years, and lost only one election - the one before this one, with the PP winning but the PSOE ruling through a coalition deal with the United Left party (IU; led by the formerly Stalinist then Eurocommunist then social democratic PCE - Communist Party of Spain). Some days ago there were tensions between the IU and PSOE and early elections were called. The result was the following: PSOE 47, PP 33, Podemos 15, Ciudadanos 9, IU 5.

Podemos was meant to be a puppet party controlled by Anticapitalist Left (IA), the Spanish section of the reunified Fourth International (USFI), which then became a dictatorship ran by the appointed puppets, with Anticapitalist Left capitulating after Pablo Iglesias' clique [a spokesman appointed by IA who then managed to put all his friends and coworkers in key positions of the party] managed to take complete control. The Podemos campaign in Andalusia was led by Teresa Rodriguez, a member of Anticapitalist Left.

Even though the PSOE managed to win through its leader Susana Diaz who made use of an extremely populist campaign, doing "tour visits" and posing in pictures with "common people" in a manner similar to Kim Jong-Un, it now requires the support of other parties in order for Susana Diaz to become leader of the region. Usually it would have the backing of the PP, the right-wing conservative party with strong links to the former Francoist dictatorship, but the PP decided that it would 'vote against the PSOE in order for the PSOE to show who they are going to make a deal with', in an attempt for them to 'show their true selves'.

Arguing that "we cannot lose ourselves in parliamentary toying: the people are the priority", Podemos, whose statements in Andalusia are headed by Teresa Rodriguez, offered to give its support to the PSOE given that three very moderate and essential conditions are met: retirement of two corrupt politicians, stopping evictions and reducing the number of "high officials".

Yet only some days later Podemos made its already moderate conditions even weaker. Now Podemos states that it is not even mandatory for the PSOE to accomplish these three basic conditions in order to have the backing of Podemos; downgrading them to the level of suggestions. Meanwhile, leaders such as Pablo Iglesias refused to comment on the issue, arguing that it is an issue that is only relevant to Andalusia. The United Left party has criticized this latest statement of Podemos.

Ha! "Compromising" themselves into irrelevancy took Podemos no time at all. Just more pols lining up at the trough.
