The 2nd Annual Scranton Radical Book Fair will be held on March 28, 2015 at Marywood University. The book fair aims to promote the ideas of social, environmental and economic justice in the Scranton area and will include an exposition of books, zines, pamphlets, art, and other cultural and political creations. In addition it will include a day’s worth of presentations, workshops, art and music.
The idea of the Radical Book Fair is to create a space to explore ideas and perspectives that are often excluded or marginalized and to broaden the range of dialogue and conversations in our community.
Come meet people looking to connect with others interested in these ideas or simply to experience a point of view you might not have heard before. Whether you are an old radical with deep ties and knowledge or just curious and looking to find out more about these ideas, the book fair is for you!
The Scranton Radical Book Fair is a place where the ideas, activism, ethics, creativity and history of radicalism come together in one exciting event.Diversity is important to us: we are committed to promoting voices typically underrepresented, whether for reasons of race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexuality, age, income or ability.
