I saw them for the second time on Saturday night @ Camden Underworld, London. I paid a ridiculous amount for a touted ticket (not something I like doing, but it's fuckin SOIA). And, once again, they were fuckin awesome. Lou Koller's the ultimate hardcore frontman: mobile, thrilling, charismatic, passionate and hilarious. Pete Koller ran around throwing his guitar dangerously close to the front row, while I (and 500 others) stagedived, mic-grabbed, headwalked, sang along and danced like idiots. Such a great night. Hardcore, I fucking love you.

Pictures to come when people start uploading them.

I definitely have a special place in my heart for SOIA. Theirs was the first hardcore/punk show I ever saw. I was 11 at the time, and it was pretty life changing. Got me into Agnostic Front, which of course later got me into Iron Cross, who are now one of my biggest influences. But yeah, great band on stage.

I'm not claiming to be the most old skool SOIA fan, but I do kinda prefer Blood, Sweat, No Tears and Scratch the Surface to the later shit. Lou's so funny though. They'd just played a track off the new record and he goes "yeah, you guys only dance to the old stuff cos it's not cool to dig the new shit. [Laughter] Yeah, you laugh cos it's true".

Haha...they played 5 tracks off Blood, Sweat which made me happy.

Ive wanted to catch them live but Ive never been able to for one reason or another. They play some badass music though and are very chill people (Ive talked to Armand). I saw Madball at the showcase theatre last week though. Good times.
