I am a college student in my early 20s. I study History and Economics, and am planning on joining law school once I finish my undergrad work.
I'm not sure where exactly I fit on the political spectrum, but I'm probably left of center on most things. I identify with secular humanism, and am very strongly anti-theistic; I believe that religion (as is traditionally defined) cannot provide a proper moral foundation for any society or individual. I identify with many (but not all) of the ideals of the French, Russian, and Cuban Revolutions. I would abolish inheritance, or at least severely restrict it, if I had the power to do so. I think Edmund Burke was an idiot. I think violence can be justified in many cases. I oppose jingoism and ultra-nationalism, but I support national self-determination for all peoples, and the idea of the nation-state. I believe that states should be sovereign, and that the rise of international corporations with vast financial clout is a worrying trend. I think more interracial marriages would be better for the world. [insert other random thoughts]
