If you have been reading the mainstream online news, its all that is being talked about. Normally I don't attach much importance to some yahoo! article but I suppose it is kind of odd. Apparently the Kremlin is going to "make a big announcement".

Any Russian here that can shed some light here on the situation, if you think it is just nonsense being made up or a sign of something more sinister, and if so, what. If it is a coup (which I highly doubt), the repercussions could be immense given Russia's global position, massive nuclear arsenal and current intervention in Ukraine.

This all turned out to be bullshit, pretty much as I expected it would. It's just the media stirring up bullshit about the MYSTERIOUS, KOOKY, INSIDIOUS RUSSIANS!

He's a president, he has things to do. Which sometimes means actually doing work and not public appearances all the time. Very recently Obama didn't make a public appearance for two weeks - no paranoia about a coup there!
