So the "IAW 2015" has already begun since the 23rd of February and has continued on at varying times worldwide as listed below (I will personally be focusing on the events in South Africa at the time of posting this):
UK: February 23-28
US: Feb 26-March 12
Europe: March 2-9
Palestine: March 1-8
South Africa: March 2-8
Ireland: March 7-14
Canada: March 9-14
South America: Sometime in March
So yeah, there are a great number of events occurring throughout South Africa's major cities which directly correlate to the Apartheid rule in modern-day Israel. In cities big and small, people are painting murals on fences and walls, rallying in the streets, boycott movements, protests by workers and news broadcasts. Furthermore, people demand the entire "Apartheid Israel" fiasco be included in the national curriculum, the government take more aggressive steps against Israel, such as a full-scale boycott and economic sanctions (But perhaps not limited to just that) as well as imposing hefty penalties to businesses fueling the Israeli war crime machine.
Even before IAW 2015, there were some major events throughout the nation. Most recently, Leila Khaled paid a visit to many of South African cities, and the events hosted by mainly pro-Palestinian and Communist groups within the nation. Her consensus was two-sided: On one end, South Africa is one of the most loyal nations to Palestine/West Bank and on the other hand, the government needs to take more aggressive actions (as I have mentioned earlier). There was a rally by dockworkers in Oakland, CA to prevent an Israeli cargo ship from docking and offloading its cargo. 30 years ago, the same site was also preventing South African ships from docking, organized by anti-apartheid activists. Also recently a number of protests by dockworkers in Durban, KZN are preventing Israeli ships from docking. The well-known SodaStream is also technically illegal due to a labeling law (It is produced in the West Bank, labeled as "Made in Israel") and several IDF servicemen of South African citizenship are/have been prosecuted for partaking in war crimes and human rights abuses, just to name a few. Oh yeah, Namibia also expressed its discontent towards Israel (perhaps due to historic reasons and was colony of South Africa during Apartheid).
Furthermore as the Israeli-South African relations, diplomatic and otherwise, continue to decay unabated, signs of the frayed relations are becoming present. Israel denied a VISA access to a UN member from South Africa, has an ongoing mistreatment and harassment of South Africans who happen to end up in Israeli cities or airports (Likely also theft of documents and personal belongings); this also occurs closer to home if an "El Al" passenger jet happens to be hogging up an airport terminal at the OR Tambo. There have been terrorist attacks perpetrated by the Mossad within South Africa since the Apartheid ended, threats of cyber attacks against pro-Palestinian activist groups, government agencies and universities (I think University of Johannesburg has long been on Israel's shit-list) and wire-tapping. While the government of South Africa doesn't spy on it's citizens, the government of Israel certainly does, both on its own and in a country some 7 to 8,000 kilometers away. Also my internet really likes to tank if I go on Al-Jazeera or PressTV. Maybe there's another reason for disconnects rather than simply having a shitty Internet connection? Oh, and regarding "El Al", its often filled with armed Israeli spies and troops who overtake airport security and personell, being generally a nuisance and bringing the airport profiling to home.
A bunch of venues to look into regarding the IAW/Gaza situation:
BDS South Africa
National Coalition 4 Palestine
South African Communist Party (and the Youth Communist League)
Workers And Socialists Party
Economic Freedom Frontier
University of Johannesburg
Media Review Network
CII Broadcasting
Jewish Voices for a Just Peace
PressTV
Al-Jazeera
