This is just a sort of for shits and giggles, what if? thread. This of course varies on your tendency and personal opinion on how revolution will look, but when the red(or black, or why not both?) flag is flying proud over your city, what will your role in the revolution be? Guerrilla in the rural mountains? Scab hunter? Propaganda distributor? Good ole' foot rioter? Again all depends on your tendency. I'd make a poll, but I'm pretty sure there's way too many choices too even list,(and I'm lazy).

deja vu. I swear there was a thread exactly like this on before. I said something like a 'bureaucrat, not everyone can be a revolutionary.'

I suppose I'd deal with propaganda/organizing, basically providing intellectual support to the revolution.
I'd do something else, maybe even some real rioting, but I'mnot really good at anything else

As future Premier, Prime Minister, Brother #1, President, Spokesperson, Generalissimo, Dear Leader and Chairperson of the proletariat, I take my job seriously.:glare: Being the most equal among equals, juggling all these posts, having my picture and cameras in everyone's commune(and hearts:wub:), combating revisionist wreckers and capitalist roaders, writing crap that idiots will treat like the Gospel 100 years from now and single-handily constructing communism, can not be anything but humbling.

Ha! Easy, guerilla in the rural mountains, and nazi-hunter. Might also smack my old boss in his face all accordingly to the new laws of proletarian retrabution.

The 3rd world (being the most exploited) will rise up and reduce the 1st world into the new 3rd world and then they will rise up in time.

That doesn't even make sense. If the proletariat become overlords (of what? Where is the other class waiting in the wings that the proletariat can exploit?) then the proletariat are no longer 'a proletariat' and the former lumpens who have now become a proletariat (by being integrated into production) are being exploited by 'a new bourgeoisie'.

So what you're saying 'I might be a worker'. But a revolution that results in 'a bourgeoisie' exploiting 'a proletariat' isn't really a revolution, is it? It's more like 'exactly what we already have'.

Surely the proletarians will be the (sigh) "overlords" of the transitional revolutionary dictatorship. But that's neither here nor there. The issue, I think, is how the proletariat will deal with "third persons" (Bukharin and Preobrazhensky's term, I think quite apt), the petite bourgeoisie etc. Surely the point is to eliminate these as an economic group, which would improve their lives in the long turn but cause massive disruption for them in the short term.

But the revolutionary dictatorship will be the majority deciding how society is run. And Stirnirite will be part of that process (unless being such an individualist, Stirnirite doesn't want to be part of the process of deciding how society is run).

I don't know why people have difficulty with the concept of the revolutionary dictatorship. I don't think it's hard to grasp.

I don't think it's hard to grasp either. But at the same time, I don't think it will necessarily amount to "the majority deciding how society is run". I certainly don't think a limited franchise or an outright exclusion of some groups is incompatible with a revolutionary dictatorship. E.g. I would expect a dictatorship of the proletariat in, say, the Congo, to be composed of a minority of militant transportation, mining etc. workers and those associated with them.

But yeah, I'd be an official in the chancellery of the central soviet. My revolutionary duty would be to ensure no actual bureaucratic work gets done, forcing the soviets to act as working bodies throughout the civil war and beyond, when the temptation to rely on a separate officialdom is the highest. My entire life has prepared me for that duty.

That is not even what Maoists believe or how they view revolution lol what are you talking about?
Read Mao On New Democracy if you want a better understanding of the Maoist conception of the differences in first and third world revolution.

Gimme a gun, I will shoot.
Gimme a pen, I will write.
Gimme a pencil, I will draw.

Or die trying.

More likely I get killed in the third though, my drawings are horrible and my soviet soldier is a fat stickmen with a FN-47 or AK-FAL, and a nazi-prussian helmet (horrible)

Economically speaking, he is right though.
I am interested in seeing if Europe's abrupt fall in economical position leads to deep crisis and eventual revolution.
