Abolitionist

I thought I should introduce myself, since I'm new here! I'm Abolitionist and I hail from Britain. I've joined RevLeft in order to fulfill my need to discuss radical politics with other like minded people and to learn more about various struggles and ideologies.
I'm an anarchist communist who is strongly influenced by platformist and specifist (especifista) ideas. I've recently found myself becoming disenfranchised with lots of elements of the anarchist movement and began branching and learning more about other ideologies, namely Marxism. While I have found my forays into Marxism insightful and extremely useful I still consider myself an anarchist... for now.
Besides that other important things to know about me is that I'm vegan and straight edge. They don't play a huge role in my politics so don't expect me to bring them up very often. I have a keen interest in wildlife, I'm a enthusiastic beginner bird watcher and wildlife photographer. I also work in a workers' co-operative (it's not as fun as it sounds).
I also love punk music, and like many others, discovered anarchism through punk. Though recently I've developed a love for hip-hop and folk music, basically any music with a political message.
That's all there is to say about me right now, I'll see you on the barricades forums!
