Obama said he is a socialist. Putin acts like a national-socialist. The world tension we are seeing has a historical twist.

I have links to articles to support my argument, but I cannot show them since my post count is not 25 yet :(

It's because Obama wears dad jeans, while Putin does lots of stuff shirtless. When Putin was in the KGB, probably strangling people who wore dad jeans (possibly while shirtless) Obama was a legal professor at the University of Chicago, probably while wearing dad jeans and teaching classes to people also wearing dad jeans.

No, and no. That's just rubbish. Both of those. Certifiable.

I think I hear the flapping of white coats? Is that the warden, over there? Yes, yes, it is, finally, the glinting silver needle to take away this pain, this anguish!

Google what? Right-wing nuts think Obama is a socialist? I'm sure I'd be up to my eyeballs with The Blaze and Breitbart and whatever the fuck, all of which has the equivalent worth of dog vomit. Even if Obama said such a thing, it would mean precisely nothing, because, no doubt about it, Obama's understanding of what "socialism" is probably as warped as your own, i.e. "something something state intervention blurhgh", except not followed by some hogwash about voluntarism and the Truly Free Market.

Putin acts like any typical nationalist populist, besides.

You still haven't provided your definition of socialism. Do you agree with Lenin's social democracy or not? In my general definition, socialism is a political system that takes complete control of economy. After FDR's New Deal and Obama's ACA, the US welfare state surely has a socialist tendency, not as badly as in the Scandinavian model, but it's getting there.

What you said about Putin doesn't really conflict with what I called him.

Socialism is a society in which the workers control and manage the means of production. It is understood in terms of class, in which one's class is directly related to one's relationship with said means of production.

You can gauge if a society is socialist by observing which class has "Complete control of economy". In the USA and Russia, the working class has no control over the economy.

You know, if you really are being honest in your other thread, and are researching this sort of thing for graduate level academic work, you probably should get some sense of what the fuck you're talking about before jumping into your research.

Not if you read New York Post's "Obama admits he's a socialist" and The Guardian's "Hillary Clinton says Vladimir Putin’s Crimea occupation echoes Hitler", for some examples.

But my revleft emotional-economy

Emotional Economy is not revleft; it's a synthesis of Marxism and Objectivism, Communism and Capitalism, altogether bypassing socialism.

Sounds awfully convincing. They, like you, have little understanding of what socialism means when they says something as profane as that Obama's a socialist. And how is surprised by Hillary Clinton making dumb charged statements against the opposition?

ahmahgad the nightmare Scandinavian experience of social-democracy! Which is a far stretch from anything resembling socialism/communism!

If your views do not match those of most of the world, why don't you define the proletariat class in the 21st century, for starters?

Lol. It's a good thing that I changed it to red then.
