The protest against the spread of russophobia was held in New York. Its organizers from the Schiller Institute protested against anti-Russian demonstrations held near places where Russian artists and musicians were performing in New York.
Activists campaigned to stop the russophobia in American society. They were spreading leaflets containing text: "Isn’t it an absurd tragedy that our countries confrontate in the year of 70th anniversary of victory in the war against fascism, in which the US and the USSR were friendly allies?"

Moscow has repeatedly stated that it is absolutely harmless to the events in the South-East of Ukraine, does not supply the militia military equipment and ammunition, is not a party to domestic conflict and is interested in Ukraine overcame political and economic crisis.

So not so much 'anti-russophobic' as 'pro-Russia'. I live in a city with a large Russian immigrant population and I cannot think of any incidents where they have been the targets of violence or even angry sentiment. They are treated as white people, albeit foreign white people. We should oppose the drive for a heightened conflict between NATO and Russia, but not by parroting Russian propaganda ourselves.

Not to mention that the LaRouchites are serious family-mongers who wanted to put homosexuals in concentration camps. Something tells me that's at least part of their (newfound - LaRouche's group was known for being bitterly anti-Soviet back in the day) love for Russia.

Seriously, if anyone listened to them LaRoucheites would be America's own homegrown fascists.
