It disables them from wanting to compete in the market and it impacts the attitudes of schizophrenics by saying that they are basically incompetent.

I'm not really sure what to think of the psychology of it. I am curious what a leftist psych enthusiast would think of it; it's pretty out there.

Regarding anti-Oedipus, I have looked into it, never actually read it, but if I remember correctly they weren't actually using the word schizophrenic to refer to people with schizophrenia, but rather to describe a concept. I could be wrong though, it was a long time ago that I looked it up.
