The Irrationality of White Supremacism - Your Thoughts on This

I have met numerous people on the streets and on the web. You could encounter just about anyone, but the people who I just can't stand the most are racists, more particularly, white supremacists/nationalists. White supremacists have a mindset that the white race is declining and is on the verge of extinction. Many white supremacist gangs are preparing themselves for an upcoming 'racial war.' You and I, being logical, and open-minded individuals know that most of this is mere bullshit.

The purpose of this thread is to speak out against white supremacism. You could post just about anything that is related to anti-racism. This is just my act of propagating against racial supremacism. Do you think that racial supremacism is soon about to face its end? Or do you think that maybe, just maybe there is a possibility racial separatism will be achieved?

While it would be nice if evolution meant that irrational things are doomed to extinction, I'm not as optimistic.

What may be irrational in the grand scheme of things, may be rational in a limited sense, but is enough to perpetuate it indefinitely.

For example, one might argue that it is irrational to have consumer advertising to create desire where none existed before, since it wastes time, effort, resources, etc etc. However, even if we accept that consumer advertising is "irrational" to the general economy, it is not irrational to the company that engages in it, since it creates more business for the company, and allows the company to perpetuate itself, even if the company's products outlive their usefulness.

Similarly, we may argue that dividing up humanity and making them fight each other is irrational, and that human technology and society would advance much faster if people worked together. However, even if it is granted that random violence is irrational, it is not irrational for those who intentionally engage in divide-and-conquer tactics in order to stay in power. And as long as their various tactics work and keep them in power, then they may just continue to use divide-and-conquer tactics indefinitely.

Good question. I don't think that racism is going away in the near future. I can only talk about the United States and I would say that it is still alive and well, although it is still considered beyond the pale to be an open racist. However, you can tell by the almost insane reactions to Obama's election that it is still bubbling under the surface.

Political racism would have a better shot under more harrowing conditions, as can be seen by the rise of nationalist and even neo-fascist tendencies in Europe right now.

Sometimes I don't like to get all theoretical about stuff. White nationalism is just stupid and annoying. I guess I could go on but I find the subject exhausting to even start thinking about. Have you ever been around someone who just makes you feel tired because of how annoying they are? That's how I feel about white nationalism.

I agree, most white nationalists are just angry people who love to complain about how non-whites are ruining everything. More dangerous, though, are scientific racists who try to use science to push a racist agenda. Scientific racists tend to look and act more dignified than your average KKK/skinhead-type racist and are therefore more likely to influence mainstream discourse.

I hate to side with soc-dems, but Cornel West, and other left wing black academics, have it right when they mention how white supremacy isn't just openly fearing the depletion of the white race. That many people are subconsciously white supremacist.

Cutting food stamps is not just an attack on the poor, but an attack on blacks in particular as well. Some people would say "it has nothing to do with them being black!", but the reality is that this is subconscious white supremacy.

A large percentage of the white supremacist movement has evolved into white separatism. Of course, you will always have supremacists of all stripes out there, but separatism now makes a lot more sense from their perspective on the whole.

How can you explain the thoughts and actions of a white racist who picks on an Asian for the simple fact that 'he or she drives a Honda". It's narrow-mindedness and filth of the highest order. It's crazy! I take public transportation but never it did come into my mind that a person should be hateful because he/she drives a car and I do not. No wonder Stalin walked from his official residence to his office. Maybe to drive the racists to madness because give 'stalin three to four more weeks and to the gulag you go...":laugh:
