I am trying to put together a website where young people (specifically those 18 and over) share their stories of ageism. It was sort of inspired by the "Micro Aggressions" website. I am hoping that, by sharing our stories, it will help other young people understand what we are really facing.
I've tried to raise funds to promote the site as well as make it look nicer, but it hasn't gone far. I guess it won't be something people care about until those at the cool kids table take up the topic.
I have been denied jobs, refused service in places of business, harassed by police for no reason, and insulted by complete strangers. Why? I'm currently unemployed because of all this hate. And of course, nobody cares.
Well, anyway please share your stories on my website, share the website, or at least have a look. The majority of the entries are from my life.
