That's right, folks. Here in the 'Land of the Free', the most prosperous nation on the planet, if you are a public school student......then there's a really good chance that you're either hovering around or have plunged below the poverty line.
You proud of yourself, America? Wanna tie the flag around your shoulders and yell 'USA! USA!' like a dipshit? I hope you're still capable of that much, because according to these statistics it looks like alot of your children barely have enough energy to pay attention in school. BECAUSE THEY'RE STARVING!!
People wonder how it is that I can still be loyal to the socialist cause after all of these years, after all of the failed revolutions and autocratic 'communist' regimes. After all of the seemingly endless sectarian in-fighting and empty rhetoric.
It's because of this. It's because of the knowledge that, even within my own country, which is supposed to be the wealthy, shining beacon of 'freedom', that so many children will go hungry tonight and the higher-ups could care less, and the gold-fellating parasites who control them care not at all.
It's because I want to fight for a world in which another child will never have to cry in hunger because their parents can't afford a crust of bread or a carton of milk. Because they're thirsty and can't have access to drinking water.
That's a world I'm willing to fight for....and die for, if neccessary.
