Hello everyone!
I am hoping to learn here, and talk with respect to everyone.
I live in London, I don't want to give too much information except for this.
My politics mainly are Anti-Imperialist, will be happy to hear from others who feel the same, and to see what there is to get involved with. :) I will look if there is a User Group for this.
No more to say for now, see all of you on the forums!
Welcome :)
If you have political questions, you can ask them in the Learning forum. That's why it's there after all!
If you have questions about your account, don't hesitate to send me a PM or ask here.
I think everyone here is "anti-imperialist" one way or another. Could you be more specific?

At this moment I am not a member of any group. I have been involved with left wing since I was young (now I am quite old - nearly 30 so for this forum I guess old).
I do not want to be too extense or boring, but sicne you asked, I will try to epxlain my views, which are eclectic and not "set in stone", but some perceptions I have become quite sure of, which I describe here:
When I say anti-imperialist I mean that I believe that the material basis for a revolution, will be the national consciousness of the people submitted by imperialism.
This does not mean I believe we are close to such a situation today. Latin America (I thnk we can see this as one "nation" but it is a controversial opinion) is moving forward, maybe China also, but in other places, like the Arab nation, it seems they are moving backwards. Africa (not a "nation" but a region which would need to be some kind of federation if it were to be free, I think), also seems to be far from this, but then South Africa maybe has some interesting struggles.
I am not a Guevarrist or I have a "romantic" view of "Third World" (sic) peoples, but just I have come to the conclusion, that Imperialism vs Anti-Imperialism is the "primary contradiction" of our time and that the role of the left, is to agitate/support on this basis.
Also am not trying to repeat old doctrines, today we face many problems which did not exist in the past - like resource depletion, overpopulation, climate change - which I think makes this contradticion sharper (imperialist countries pass these costs of the decaying system to their eocnomic semi-colonies, and also compete throught wars and proxy wars more aggresively for depleted resources), but also means the old solutions (industrialization etc,) are more problematic.
This doesn't mean I am saying there is no role for the peoples in the "developed countries" but I do not think they could lead a path to socialism because of the material basis for how these countries operate the world system, of course, I am happy to hear from opposing opinions.
I didn't think this introduction post would be long, but I don't want to give incomplete answers, so apologies if it was long. ;)
