Well we've all got to bite the dust someday. Probably a lot of people on this forum passed away without anybody even noticing. But are there any users in particular that you know have passed away?
Sorry in advance if this is a touchy subject. Ive just always wondered this.

Well, RedStar2000, for starters.

Whoa... morbid subject matter...
But yeah, redstar2000 is the one everyone remembers. :(
Given that most users on this site are quite young though, I wouldn't think there's alot. But people come and go from this site all the time, so it's hard to tell really.

Yes, redstar2000 is one of two members I know to have have passed away during my time here, in 2011 although he got ill way before that. He was almost 70 years old, and had suffered a stroke a few years before. For him, we (people from the site) actually held a funeral ceremony in the United States, in the summer of 2013.
There was another member who passed away in a carbon monoxide related accident a few years ago. Certainly there have been others, but not that many perhaps as the site mostly draws young people.

Yea I figured it would be mostly suicides since a lot of the site is young people

There was that user who used to frequent the Live Chat many years ago. 'Tech' I think?
Also, I am dead. I'm actually a ghost.

Oh right Tech, sorry to forget about him. I guess I never was properly part of the live chat crowd, but I sure remember him, he was always there.

It seems like a lot of people talk about suicide or their depression on this site, I wonder sometimes if anybody had ever left a note on here or if their friend would swing by and let everybody know what happened to them. Do people worry if an active poster just abruptly stops?

I do.
By the way, Flying Purple People Eater, come back. Nao.

I really do worry.
But I feel I should point out that while I like writing about my occasional depression where no one (AFAIK) knows who I am, I am never suicidal.

Tech actually committed suicide. I guess he was suffering from depression most of his life and it unfortunately got the best of him.

...this is a really weird thread.
i don't intend to die any time soon, but if i do, i'd hope that the people on here that i give a shit about would find out somehow. announcing a suicide on revleft sounds like a terrible idea though
