Are "Anti-Fascists" just fascists with good-guy badges?

Aren't a lot of these "anti-fascist" activists basically people with fascist mentalities who are looking for a way to act like fascists, yet still claim to be the good guys? Aren't they really looking for an excuse to be violent, attack the evil "other", demonize their enemies, shut down political debate, etc., precisely as other fascists do? This is what I have observed. Maybe we need to speak of "fascism of the left" and "fascism of the right" to be accurate in our language?

Call me a follower of Alinsky's principle of reaching the truth through opposition and conflict. I observed anti-fascist fascism in many places; they make no secret of the joy they get from breaking fascist heads.

I've heard that militant leftists are susceptible to becoming fascists; maybe it's because they are basically the same types of people, psychologically, and their ideologies are just window dressing?

To compare the antifa to fash is to be completely ignorant of the work they do against fascists. As a POC I appreciate that the fash don't have free reign in abusing and assaulting myself, and people like me.

Right. Based on this statement I would call you a follower of liberalism seeking change within the system in order to dampen the effects of capitalism rather than seeking a revolutionary solution for capitalism.

Alinsky has some interesting proposals for community organization which are worth a look...non-violence is not one of them. Never ever forget that he was hugely praised by political figures from the establishment even during his life-time. That is ultimately a very good sign that his activism, proposals and efforts work to leave the system in tact and create an illusionary form of empowerment that advances bourgeois interests and capitalist power dynamics as an alternative to actual radicalization.

The fact that you think violent action is what defines fascism also shows you do not actually understand what you are talking about and what fascism actually is and strives for. Ultimately your entire argument comes down to "lets sit down and talk with the violent gang next door in order to see if we can get them to give up their criminal activities and stop selling drugs"
