I'm spending 3-4 months in France early next year, WWOOFing (doing volunteer work on organic farms). I'd like to be upto date on what's currently going on in French politics, and what's been going on in recent years? All I know about recent French politics is that I hate Le Pen, the guy and his daughter, and the French National Front that I believe he represents. But I'd also like the know about the other major parties in France, what the current and recent prime minister (president?) represent(ed), the moderate right and moderate left, aswell as other significant far left and right parties - contemporary anarchist or socialist writers, aswell as any other far rights threats I should be aware of (like for instance in the UK we have UKIP, BNP, NF, EDL and Britain First - from what I can tell the current French NF is comparable to something like a mix between UKIP and BNP, but I don't know enough about them, only enough to know that I don't like them).

Of course I know a little more about the French left of the past - Proudhon, Emile Armand and a few others.

Ok...well....you start here:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/France

Then you can go here:

http://www.france24.com/en/france/

In other words...I appreciate you asking questions and participating but this is the third extremely general question thread you made. And we are not really your personal google assistants.

Please narrow it down a little in the future.
