I'm a student in my last year of a sociology w/ criminology degree, and I'm here mainly to pursue an academic interest in Marxism through discussion with some of the more knowledgeable folks here.

Well really it's Borġ. Maltese you see. But yes we will try to assimilate you, can't promise anything as we've spent our entire history between preroman times and 1964 just resisting foreign assimilation. We're not very experienced doing things the other way around.

As for what aspect of Marxism particularly interests me...well. You may have noticed I've made a thread about structure and agency in Marx, so there's a start. I've been reading up the structure agency debate a bit recently but my knowledge is quite limited to modern, not quite marxist scholars such as Giddens and Bourdieu. There will be more topics to come I'm sure.
