Okay, my last health-related thread didn't fare too well....
Boost your physical and mental health with cheap health tech
http://www.revleft.com/vb/boost-your-physical-t191186/index.html
This time around I found something that's entirely *non-commercial* (free), and is right here as an embedded YouTube video:
A special frequency, a mini 'cure all' Rife (Isochronic Tones 120 Hz) Pure Series

Here's an introduction:
Rife Frequency Videos and Patterns

I won't comment as to its efficacy, but, as before, will vouch for it. The whole playlist is here:

If anyone wants to *download* the audio portions from the videos, there's a good utility for doing that called YouTube-DL:
http://pkgs.org/search/youtube-dl
I documented how to use this utility at my 'jukebox' thread:

Generally if something claims to "cure everything," it probably doesn't really cure anything.

This is actually pretty interesting. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isochronic_tones)

I like how the list of things cured by the video basically starts over in the middle so that the text encompasses the whole screen and looks more impressive.

While you can use different stimuli to cause this or that change, the thing that ckaihatsu is posting is the claim that it will cure everything and blah blah blah. Basically, a bunch of BS.
If it was claiming to have effects on say, stress levels, and stress levels only (which in turn may help other things) then I might be less irritated by ckaihatsu's bullshit.

Have you *tried* it??
You have no basis to call it bullshit, then. It's free -- there's no barrier to participation.

I think a little research is often in order when evaluating these types of claims. I don't like to dismiss things outright.
So let's take a look at Royal Rife (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Royal_Rife), and see what he's all about. An excerpt from his Wikipedia page delivers the following.
Wikipedia
An analysis by Electronics Australia found that a typical 'Rife device' consisted of a nine-volt battery, wiring, a switch, a timer and two short lengths of copper tubing, which delivered an "almost undetectable" current unlikely to penetrate the skin.[7]
I'm not an expert in the specific designs of biomedical devices. I do have some experience in the design of general electronic circuits. I'll tell you if the average sophistication of these devices as aforementioned, there is serious doubt about their ability to heal anything. Significantly more sophistication than a basic DC circuit that merely happens to feature the human body as its return path is required.
Not just this, Rife was claiming that these devices, like the Rifescope allowed him to see at extraordinary magnification with an optical microscope. In order for this to be true, Rife would have had to have documented a whole new set of physics, which he did not do. This makes it hard for me to believe him, since that's what it would require for his remarkable claims to be true.
We ought to always be skeptical of claims, especially in a capitalistic society like we live in. There is incentive to get a product to market, without regard to efficacy. Products in general are nearly always not as good as they could be. They are nearly always suboptimal. What I hate is how capitalism even exploits our health and well-being. It is just sick how it sacrifices these basic things at the altar of freedom and liberty.
