Hello, I am a Filipino Communist who wishes to get a better understanding of Marxist theory before I engage with a leftist political group. I plan on creating a blog to summarize and interpret Leftist, mostly Marxist, literature, along the way. My tendency is just Leninism, and I lean towards Marxism-Leninism-Maoism, but I loathe the sectarian shitfest that is just thrown around in the greater Marxist community.

Welcome :)
If you have political questions, you can ask them in the Learning forum. That's why it's there after all!
If you have questions about your account, don't hesitate to send me a PM or ask here.
What attracts you to Maoism?

What attracts you to Maoism?
The largest (and oldest) communist party in the Philippines is Maoist, and I'd rather not join some small socialist organization that's probably almost completely compromised by bourgeois-intellectuals. The Philippines has an incredibly underdeveloped industry, so the proletariat is very small compared to the peasantry. Mao Tse-Tung thought is probably the best, theoretically, to fit the material and social conditions of the Philippines.
Really, it's not much; I'm still willing to read the literatures of opposing tendencies to better round off my conception of marxist theory.
