View Full Version : Hey! Beginning to reconsider my views on capitalism, and becoming more socialist

Hi guys!
Well, I used to be an ardent capitalist, because I for some reason, never quite understood that all four factors of production, i.e. land (i.e. actual land, natural resources, intellectual property, EM spectrum rights, etc.), capital, labor, and entrepreneurship, all equally important.
Without land, the production has no area to operate or operate on, without capital, production has no tools to work on the land, without labor, capital cannot be used, and without entrepreneurship, the land, capital, and labor cannot be organized.
The payment for the use of land is called (economic) rent, the payment for the use of capital is called (economic) interest, the payment for the use of labor is called (economic) wages, and the payment for the use of entrepreneurship is called (economic) profit.
Profit is actually a cost of production, and what really causes inequality is not profit-seeking behavior, but rent-seeking behavior, i.e. trying to get a bigger share of production without adding to production.
Economic rents are not a product of individual effort, but of the community's valuation, and they should be distributed among the community. Redistributing economic profit, interest, and wages is immoral, because it confiscates created value.
The goal of socialism, and all market economies, should be to get all these costs to the minimum required to keep the economy going. Unfortunately, representative democracy and other forms of indirect governance actively encourages rent-seeking behavior with lobbying for regulations and favors, preventing a true market equilibrium.
Unfortunately, we will likely never have the world of abundance that socialism truly requires, as usable energy will almost always be scarce. This is why I believe the currency should be backed by energy, as it will make the reality of energy economics hit closer to home.

So, I don't want to be rude, but how is anything you're talking about "socialist"? You are still talking about capital and money, and the talk about "rent-seeking behaviour" seems taken straight out of American right-"libertarian" discourse.
It's not that I want to discourage you, but socialism is not merely recognising labour as important. (In fact, the labour theory of value was developed far before Marx, although in a contradictory, incomplete form, and for Marxists, it describes the workings of capitalism, not some "ideal" distribution.)
I hope you will continue to learn about socialism, and abandon ideas about "redistribution" (which is not what socialism means; socialism means socialisation, the abolition of private ownership) being "immoral" (ugh). But as things stand, this is all vaguely Friedmanite.

OP is a scammer. Just google her name. She posts all kinds of nonsense in various forums. Her posts are purposely nonsense or provocative to generate as many replies as possible. Again, just google "TSLexi" and you will see all the sex and transgender sites connected with that name.
The purpose of the scamming is to build profiles in various forums around the internet. These profiles are then sold in packages of 100, 500, 1000 or more. Once the user profile is established on a forum, a bot can automatically start threads with links and spam ads.

Thank you for your heeding. We will take appropriate action when that is deemed necessary.

I notice the OP did not come back. What a surprise.

Me too. No matter how I like to 'conform' the more I become communist. Wherever angle I look, socialism works. Nobody can deny that the old Soviet Union was ahead of Canada by 30 years in constructing a subway system that accommodated 30 million Soviets.

Looks like another forum had trouble with TSLexi as reported here...
This was on the website called ripoffreport. Looks like I need 25 posts to make a link, but here's the text...
"I know this loser. TSLexi tried to post on my site with all of their nonsense. Somebody else was posting to warn me about TSLexi. I finally had to delete the account of TSLexi for all of it to stop. TSLexi was obviously lying about being genuine on the site. All of his garbage was made up. He even sent private message to some of the forum members with links to transsexual and pervert sites. Watch out for this clown!"

What's your problem? We don't care about spammers, but you better not preach moralistic crap. If you don't like transsexualism, it's your issue and not something to bother others with. Spamming is not wrong, this shit is.

Well, spam wastes resources, so I'd say that spam is bad. However, the bigotry against transsexuality is indeed petty bourgeois moralism.

We don't care about spammers, Who's we? Since when do you speak for people here?
but you better not preach moralistic crap. Spamming is not wrong, this shit is.You tell me not to preach morality, but then you do the same thing.
If you don't like transsexualism,
I don't care about it. Sounds like you made something up.

If anybody thinks the OP is serious in that drivel, then take a look at the Stormfront site. I can't post a link, so here is the text. You can probably google any one of these sentences to source it.
Hi fellow National Socialists!
I'm here to connect with others who believe in the supremacy of White culture. All the great powers in the world were White, from Rome to Britain to Germany to America. Sadly, Rome collapsed because of declining ERoEI and letting foreigners control it, much like how Britain lost its Empire and America is collapsing due to the influence of foreigners and communism.
I believe Hitler did wonders for Germany, until he lost his mind and started systematically destroying his country's population and simultaneously waging war on multiple fronts. Such is an aberration of national socialism, whose goal it is to establish the supremacy of White culture. Whites should not stoop to the level of their enemies, for that is what they want.
The OP has posted the same nonsense in forums on chess, diesel engines, physics, philosophy, politics, film, etc. He has posed as a law student, potential film student, world traveler, etc.
The only reason I'm doing this is to have some Christmas break fun. Come on--you know it's funny.:lol:

The fact is that, while I doubt that anyone here gives a shit about the activities of this individual, you're specifically picking up their affiliation with Web sites about transsexualism, and additionally making a link between transgenderism and 'perversion'. I have no idea why you have to pick out transexuality in your campaigns against individual. Unless you're a bigot, in which case fuck off, stop trying to 'do good' by going on about spammers nobody cares about and instead work on sorting out your own problems first, which will surely do more good.
If the problem is merely that the user is spamming links to porn or sex sites, specifically or especially related to transexuality or transgenderism, then you still have no right to pick this out, as if it was any more 'wrong' than any other kind of sex or porn.

Your speculation does not make it fact.
you're specifically picking up their affiliation with Web sites about transsexualism,
No I did not. Sounds like somebody has a problem with his own sexuality.
nobody cares about
You obviously care since you replied.
then you still have no right to pick this out,
Your definition and use of the word right is about as accurate as your use of the words fact and doubt in the same sentence.
Anyhoo...Red Worker seems to be more interested in his own brand of dogma and self-indulgent opinion than seeing actual facts. For everyone else, just google "TSLexi Stormfront" and you'll see this in the first result.
I'm sure some of you caught the spamming while the narcissism of others like Red Worker will continue to be easily fooled because he's only interested in his own opinion.
The google search "TSLexi Stormfront" yields an OP who is a Nazi and communist hater on one site, but then someone who joined this site.

Alerting the site staff to the possibility that the user in question is a spammer was useful. There is obviously something off, for lack of a better term, about their posts. At best they're extremely politically confused. What people are calling into question, however, is your focus on their alleged connection to "transsexual sites", which could mean anything. I doubt they're going to spam Stormfront with LGBT activism, but if they are, more power to them. Here it would (presumably) not be necessary (plus we have already domesticated several species of wild spammers and keep them in special enclosures). If it's porn we're talking about, it would be removed. And surely the problem is that they're spamming, not that they're spamming something related to transsexuality? Anyway, you could have explained yourself better; instead you got extremely defensive, which is never a good sign.
