I suppose I should introduce myself here, but to be honest I already kind of regret registering this account, since I don't have much to contribute as a noob and anything I say will probably amount to shitposting. Anyway, I came here to learn more about politics and social science in an atmosphere free from bigotry and doctrinairism, so I hope I've come to the right place. And since I won't be worth much on this site if I don't educate myself, I guess I have a lot of reading ahead of me (and I'll be sure to check out the stickies too). I look forward to participating. :)

So yeah... I'm a non-confrontational guy, but I'm tired of seeing reactionary wingnuts and callous douchebags from /pol/ and Stormfront terrorize people with their hateful rhetoric and so on, so I've decided to become more involved in this stuff. And I've always just intuitively accepted that the only reasonable standpoint to have on political issues is a leftist one, and that far-right ideology is categorically immoral.

Welcome :)

If you have political questions, you can ask them in the Learning forum. That's why it's there after all!

If you have questions about your account, don't hesitate to send me a PM or ask here.

What are your political ideas, if anything in particular and what attracts you to them?

Who wastes his/her time in /pol/? It's a shithole, worse than Reddit.
