I'm not currently a Member of a group or party. I've looked into various organisations like the SWP (too elitist , to cultish, too disfunotlonally Trotskyist) the CPGB M-L (too bat shit insane ) the CPGB ( an odd bunch Who don't Seem all that interested In new blood or new ideas ) Left unity ( a doomed experiment , taking the oddest Of oddballs from the sectional left and trying to get a coherent reformist coalition out of it . ) The only group I don't really know a lot about are the CPB . l Know that they emerged out of the old CPBG and that they Continue to Champion the British Road to Socialism , but does anyone have any Insight into what they are actually like? who are their main intellectuals? their prominent Members? what are they like to work with for other organisations on the left? where are they weak? how large and organisation are they?

They're Brezhnevites who are fond of backing trade-union bureaucrats and anyone who stands for election on a vaguely socialist platform.

I guess they have about a membership in the three figures. Robert Griffiths is their main figure. Morning Star is their paper, sort of. Their magazine, Communist Review might be more theoretical. One recent internal dispute was reported here

What exactly is it you are looking for in a group?
