Anyone else been watching this on [adult swim]?
It's become one of my new favorite shows. Not only is it funny (both funny 'ha ha' and funny in an uncomfortable way), it's also profoundly creepy. It takes all of the southern gothic archetypes (the corrupt preacher, the hussy, the hyper-religious shut-in, the rich southern bureaucrat, etc.) and takes them to illogical extremes. It also takes alot of southern stereotypes and ribs them mercilessly.
It's sort of like if William Faulkner wrote both seasons of Twin Peaks.
And hey, it's buy the guys who created Wonder Showzen. Isn't that reason enough to give it a chance?
