British Leftie looking to learn and develop.

Only really ever been exposed to a UK flavoured Cliff-Trotsktyist tradition of leftism, I'm wanting to branch out though, having become somewhat disillusioned, and see what else is out there.

Beliefs I'm strongly convinced of would be the need for revolution, an outright end to Capitalism, the end of wage-labour, redistribution of wealth based on need & the emancipation of women, the disabled and anyone else oppressed by intrenched hierarchical systems of power. Beyond that I'm still developing.

Second attempt at an introduction, the first, for whatever reason, doesn't seem to have been allowed by the admin... If the admin's see this and decide to post the original then either they or I can delete this one, its not a problem.

Anyway, I'm a British Leftie currently without a direction, affiliation or tendency. I've been mostly exposed to a very British form of Trotskyism (which predominates) which I'm fairly disillusioned with.

I'm here looking to educate myself, challenge myself and maybe find like minded people.

I don't know where I stand on issues like the exact nature of the former Soviet/"communist" states, Vanguardism, Democratic Centralism, the correct emphasis on identity politics (I'm deeply skeptical of attempts to marginalize feminism within revolutionary movements) and a whole host of other things.

What I do know is that I'm against Capitalism & wage labour. I'm against hegemony & oppression. I believe in the necessity of revolution and the utter futility of reformism & parliamentarianism.

Hope to develope my thoughts and ideas here, thanks for having me.
