Recently in India, there was an occasion called 'kiss of love', google it because I can't post links. It is basically people kissing each other in public ... as a protest against Hindu conservatives who're strongly against PDA and such.

A friend told me that I should participate. I said I'd rather kiss my love in private after a beautiful candle-lit dinner ... not on a bus or train in full public view. I am a private, introverted person. Others are free to kiss in public if they want to.

My friend became angry and called me a hindu taliban ... what am I supposed to do?

Isn't the whole point of being sexually liberated that you're free to be in control of your actions, whether they are to have PDAs or stay in private? That is what you should tell your friend

I think the problem is your friend is moralising about what you should do, whilst you are simply stating what you yourself want to do. Your point of morals, is stating your own autonomous actions, not what others should do.

To be honest, is smells a little of the kind of... authoritarian "free love" ideas espoused by leaders of religious cults. Extreme example, I know. But the point is, noone should be pressured into doing something they don't want to do.
