In fitness matters, diet plays an important role. One shouldn't starve, that goes without saying. If you starve, you can't build muscle. Neither can u lose fat, since metabolism slows down, the body clings to fat, etc. You also feel weak and tired.

But there is another extreme, which is obsessing over diet: Eating too much just because one is working out. This doesn't work either. Even if you work out, the body only uses a little of the food you eat for muscle building. The rest will therefore be stored as fat. So eating too much (even if one is working out) is going to be counterproductive.

The best solution is to eat when hungry, and stop eating when you feel full. Forget about macro, micro ratio etc., forget about supplements, shakes, etc. Just eat when hungry, but work out at least 3 or 4 times a week.

Just thought I'd share - since most people tend to complicate this. A simple, minimalist approach works.
