Next Friday is the 13th.

Is anyone superstitious? Is superstition compatible with the Communist or Capitalist views of the world?

Personally, i belive that superstition is very fictional and there is no evidence to suggest thst if you walk under a ladder you will have bad luck etc.

Is anyone superstitious?

There are sadly many who still are, but I highly doubt that anyone here will actually admit it (which I suppose is a good thing as it shows that it is becomming less acceptable).

i don't believe in and of that crap. its very selfish just like believing in fate is selfish. to blame superstition for you having a bad day is just avoiding the fact that you didn'tget as much out of the day as you could have.

on the same line people break mirrors well if you break a mirror you apparently have to break another to cancel it, but what if you break a broken mirror that was broken to cancel the break? just a thought many of my friends actually think breaking mirrors is bad luck

The only bad thing Friday the 13th Ever brought, was a string of drawn out, predicatble horror movies named after it, starring a hybrid of Lord Humongous and Leatherface.

I am not too superstitious, when it comes to stuff like Friday the 13th.

its become more like a commercialised day rather than just a date in the calendar.

Bah!It's all just superstition, let me tell you a story you guys about why they think that Friday the 13th is so unlucky.

During the Middle Ages at the time of the Crusades there was a sect called the Knights Templars, now the Templars, they helped Europeans get to the Holy Land to fight the Arabs. They became very rich that they even lend loans to kings and countries during that time, there's still a great debate on how they became so rich, but anyways European Kings and even the Pope started to become jealous of their wealth. So the French King Philip II,I think that was the King of France at the time, conspired with the Pope to kill all of the Knights Templars and take their wealth,so the Pope ordered the Crusaders to hunt down all of the Templars and kill them, and so they did.The Templars were being hunted down and killed everywhere they even killed the leader of the Templars, until finally the last were burned alive,at Friday the 13th.It was one of the greatest massacres of the Middle Ages. The order of the Knights Templars had been annihalated. That's why now people are afraid of Friday the 13th,because it's the anniversary of the great massacre.
