Hello. I live in the North of England. :)

I was first interested in Communism after reading George Orwell's Animal Farm. After also reading Homage To Catalonia, I thought I would begin to research pieces of Communism on the Internet. Not knowing where to begin, I went straight to lurking around on Reddit's /r/Communism101. After understanding a small fraction of the information, and being incredibly confused by all the fancy language and theories, I thought I'd try reading Marx's Communist Manifesto.

And after that, I came here. I'll lurk mostly, unless I have an incredibly basic question to ask. I apologise in advance for my ignorance. Thanks! :)

Welcome :)

If you have political questions, you can ask them in the Learning forum. That's why it's there after all!

If you have questions about your account, don't hesitate to send me a PM or ask here.

I would avoid places such as Reddit, which are full of people who either are really confused, have terrible politics, or both, even in the so-called 'radical' subreddits. If you still have basic questions then check out Engels' "Principles of Communism".

I disagree with redworker about reddit. While the majority of folks there are fucking stupid some can be pretty cool.
