I'm not sure I'm a Marxist so much as one who wishes to develop a framework for a new government to replace what the American "democracy" has devolved into. It seems obvious, to me at least, that capitalism, while useful at one time, has reached the point where it can no longer function without a major redistribution of the wealth, and since that is being fought tooth and nail by the handful of people that hold the wealth and their brainwashed toadies, a new system that addresses the needs of the masses in a mechanized future is needed.
I also tend to have a lot of runon sentences.
I don't hate America, it's my country, and while I know nationalism isn't logical, it's been instilled in me and there's no changing that at this point in my life. I love the ideal of America, but am saddened and ashamed of what it has become. I advocate a new constitutional congress to develop a government that will work for all citizens, allowing everyone to reach their full potential,
This is supposed to be an introduction, not my manifesto, so I shall digress.
I am male, early 50's, always socially liberal, politically liberal since about 16. Since I was raised by McGovern Democrats, that's, to quote Joe Biden (can't help it, I like the guy) "A big f***ing deal!" I live in Indiana, the northernmost state to think it's part of the old south. God help me. And being what I call a "Christian atheist", I don't expect help to be forthcoming.
That's my intro. Look forward to any ideas ppl might have about using the Internet to promote the good of the people in a mechanized society.
