I really hate VICE, but I gotta say they make documentaries on interesting stuff. Trying to be "edgy" I guess.
Thanks for the video.

save for their apperent not so cool staff conditions Vice (at least the online version) has grown on me, the dutch section has a really good monthly expose on sexism, they have great reporting on social upheavals, the civil war in syria and issues like mental health, drug legalization and immigration and their music channel Noisey is pretty good too (they did a great series on the sludge metal scene in ner orleans). they moved pretty far from their old everything must be ironic hipster days.

Interesting... I had no idea they had moved that far from their hipster/ironic roots. My knowledge of where they are at these days really is limited to a bunch of the documentaries they have made over the past few years or so. For example, I felt bad, but I really enjoyed their documentary on "One man black metal". Though I didn't like all interviewed, or necessarily the interviewers, the nature of the unknown-ness of these individuals made it worth watching. Not to mention the spectacle of the actual personalities of the individuals themselves. I'm originally from Tasmania, and it was crazy to see the recluse Striborg in person. He does perform in Tasmania sometimes, but rarely.

Vice is weird, it's like 30% unique coverage of things that don't get much traction at other outlets and the rest is people blogging about getting drunk, shitty web comics and internet drama.
