"The president said he would make the case to the American people for the mission led by General Franks - he would not have politics dictate the general's agenda."
Consider that for a moment. Bush is saying that a political action, war, is to be dictated not by politicians, who are supposedly accountable to their constituents, but by a general. Isn't that gov't without any input from the citizenry? It sounds a lot like fascism to me, but I may be wrong. Any thoughts?
