Hello. Today I joined the RevLeft community, and am glad I did so. My username is "DoP"; which stands for "Dictatorship of the Proletariat". I am a young Marxist, and here are some of the things that I believe in:
The emancipation of all human beings regardless of sex and race;
A classless society and the elimination of private property;
Equality- a world of equals;
Open borders, and easy asylum;
A communist economy- a socialist state;
Internationalism;
And probably most controversially- NO MORE UNION FLAG...
The union flag is a symbol of the evil English imperialism that once stormed the earth- and still rains upon nations such as Ireland and Scotland. I believe that Ireland, Scotland, and all other so-called British possessions or "dominions" has the moral right to; pass laws for, and to claim jurisdiction over their territory, air space, mineral resources, means of production, distribution and exchange, and to their people.
To condemn the use of said symbol as a national flag, is not virulent self-hatred or an attack on a people; but simply: rejecting the celebration of oppression and granting freedom from oppression to the oppressed.
