Today it's on again, and yesterday there were plenty matches like Luxemburg - Spain, Estland - England, Russia - Moldavia...and the day before, Poland won against Germany

Things are getting rough for spain, so I'm happy :D

Hand-egg-ball doesn't constitute a sport, it's just an advertising marathon with people forming lines in between

I'm afraid the team's gonna fall apart after Spahic's retirement.
The only thing that I'm more afraid of is to become one of these cool kids that go in threads just to post that they don't care. Obviously you care enough to post. http://www.smokinvette.com/corvetteforum/images/smilies/loser.gif

Id love to be a cool kid. I think I'm a little old for it though. I care deeply about football. What I am rejecting is this idea that international football is the top of the sport. It's not. It's generally rubbish. Personally I find it quite annoying that just when the season is getting into swing this nonsense comes along and interrupts it.
So yes, I do care about football. I just don't care about this rubbish.

You're welcome to open threads about sports that you care about, and I promise I won't enter them writing "I don't care, it's rubbish". Some people here are interested in this Euro stuff, which doesn't mean that they don't watch that league football stuff. As for me, I watch Bundesliga and Serie A.

Semih Kaya looks kinda Irish. Maybe related to Devrim.

Serbia vs Albania
what an embarrassing match. A fan flew a model helicopter with an albanian flag attached to it across the stadium. Frankly, it was hilarious, but it really is absolutely embarassing for the whole fan-culture in the region.

Oh boy, another football topic for haters to hate in. Let's call everybody nationalists, and denounce the evils of football! </sarcasm>
It's even one thing to say you don't care. But fuck off if you wanna make this like that World Cup topic. But anyways, I haven't been paying any attention to this really. Because I've been working again. I would root for France, but they're automatically qualified. Since they're the hosts of the Euro 2016. As long as Israel is crushed, I'll be happy. It's really funny how they're in the UEFA instead of the AFC. Cause they have no friends there. Then there's always support for Belarus or Russia, for anti-western reasoning. :p
I wonder if EA is gonna make a new Euro 2016 game, or an expansion pack for their FIFA game. Since they're always fun to play, I think.

is that for political reasons? Well, many Bosniaks and Croats love to see the Serbian team lose, but I find this moronic. My family and me were made war refugees because of Serbian aggression and still I cheer for them, same culture, same language. I'm also not against Iran or anyone I don't sympathize with on a political level, since I'm like "is it the players' fault I don't like the state politics? I guess not". If a team has several douchebag players, I might be against them, but that's about it. No politics involved.

Yes, anti-Zionism. I have no issue rooting against, or for a country, because of my political reasoning.

That you support Belarus and Russia for sorta political reasons is revealing. Since this is not a political thread I will therefore not make some association with a Tankie however.

Oh please, don't give me that childish shit. I'm not a "Tankie". I wasn't even being completely serious with that part of my post. Hence the ":p", or at least I didn't mean to come off like that.

Your political reasoning dictates you to hate Israel in every possible way?
Honestly, this sounds deliberately pathetic.
However, I don't like to mix sports and politics.

It's a discussion board. I think that saying that it is rubbish is a valid comment.
Of course all football is a product that they are trying to sell us. The problem with the Euro qualifiers is that the product is pretty poor. We have just had a pretty good World Cup, and everybody has forgotten just how bad the everyday dross of international football is.
In addition to that the nationalism that by necessity goes along with international football is disturbing.
Thankfully, it is all over for a month or so. Süperlig has returned with some great matches. The last five minutes of GS vs FB were superb, as was the finale of the BJK vs Sivas match.

It's pathetic how? Just because you don't mix sports and politics, doesn't mean we all don't. I've got nothing but disgust for the state of Israel and Zionists (as well as anti-Semites, for that matter). The same thing can be said about gusano baseball and boxing traitors too. I boo them at baseball games, and root against them during boxing matches. I hate gusanos. Why wouldn't I boo them, or root against them? I'd be saying the same thing about Soviet defectors to the NHL, if that was still the case like it was. The NHL's tampering in Soviet hockey is well known.

I'll go for an eastern European team. I like seeing unstable countries kicking the stable countries' ass. Except a few snooty ass unstable countries that are historicaly good at football. Those generally don't exist in europe though. Maybe Italy, but most of their problems are financial and they are still doing much better than the east.
