View Full Version : My thoughts

I just thought I'd fill everyone in on exactly what I believe in and why.

First off, I don’t support capitalism in the way everyone thinks. I know it will die eventually, but in my opinion it works for some. I plan to benefit off of capitalism some day by opening my own business because I want to be rich and independent. This is a normal human desire, and since humanity is too immature I will follow this path.

But first and foremost I am a realist. I know communism is inevitable due to our technological progress (the need for less and less workers as we advance),the diminishing power of the union and because I suppose in some ways we are growing up. Communism in my opinion seems like the next logical step. But I think it will take a while. I don’t judge communism as bad because I know it hasn’t been tried according to the manifesto. I think Marx was a brilliant man, I even enjoy his writings from time to time. I just think humanity has a ways to go before humanity can truly have the ability to apply his ideology.

I don't think anyone here would object to your making a living for yourself. What I think is problematic is your assertion that you plan to be rich (a rather base aspiration if I do say so myself) because it is society is 'immature'. It seems as though you are guilty of this yourself. I hate to tell you this buddy, but you can't take it with you when you die, so you might want to consider formulating a higher purpose for youself than accumulating vast quantities of little green strips of paper.

I know I am guilty, I guess I just want to enjoy my self for as long as possible. I am immature, but by society's standards I am normal. Nobody else will change, so I see no reason to follow suit. Like I said, I go with what happens to be working, right now capitalism is working. If somehow communism started to work ( it will, but not in this d ay and age) I'd be a communist.

That's good Loknar, I would say you are alot more conscious about the situation than most right wingers. Like Praxis, I can't understand the part of wanting to be rich. See, I also want to have a nice comfortable life, one with many luxuries. The difference is, I don't want to be rich, I just want to be happy. I don't give a shit about a Mercedes, I would rather have a Honda and give that extra $30,000 away. Really, all I want is a job that I enjoy and surroundings that I enjoy. I could live in a shack on the beach with no money at all and be happy forever, as long as I had some food to grow and a companion (some herb seeds wouldn't hurt either).

Fuck, I don't know what my point is. I started writing and then forgot why (alchohol with do that to you).
