the world wuld be very different were it not for all this christ stuff, be it true or made up.
for example people believe so fanatically that christ lived and died that they decided they should start counting the years again.
also I wouldn't get off school for to weeks every winter. but doesn't x-mas piss you off? all the people being so pointlessly cheerful and excercising their commercialism. if people really followed the teachings of christ they would be giving all year round instead of waiting for this dude's "birthday"

I'd have to agree with you there.

At the church I go to. It's suddenly filled on chrismas day by people who only go to church then.

Then again I go to a church at 8 o'clock in the morning and the priest is alright because rather than talking about loads of morality stuff which really bores you she talks about current issues and the morality of them.

Like she was talking about a TV debate about the september 11th attacks and she commented on the American who said "Why don't people in the rest of the world realise we're normal people living normal lives" and she said "Americans too often don't realise that the rest of the world sees them as far from normal people"

Flames, you would get that holiday anyway if there was no christ, most pre-christian religions had a mid-winter festival of some sort...
