What communist takeover of the West? Communism must be a global phenomenon for it to survive and I'd assume that socialist movements would arise in the middle east if such a global current was powerful enough.

I think that there are a lot of people who are worried about Islamicism. After all the press is always playing on these fears. To have them doesn't neccesarily make you a 'white nationalist' though. People need explanations, not mocking.

That said, there is a difference between people who are genuinely worried because the press always insinuates that socialists support Islamists (and some idiotic "socialists" don't help the impression), and someone who has basically posted "won't someone please think of the whites" guff since they came here.

Yes, obviously it is played on by the right. There are many people who think of themselves on the left though who are dragged along by it. Just look at those who consider themselves to be on the left who want to drop bombs on the Middle East these days.

Devrim i agree mocking accomplishes little, and I don't live in a majority Muslim country where I imagine the situation is rather different, but virtually everyone I've encountered who is seriously concerned about "islamism" is a rightwing nationalist at best and often just another closet racist or non islamic religious zealot. Whether its worth it to call those ppl out on it is another matter, but that doesn't change the fact that often its thinly disguised racism motivating this horror of "islamism". Most liberals and leftists I run into don't care for radical Islam but don't really see it as a serious threat; or, at least, any more problematic than local militias or something.
