In style, outlook, message...

I've read Armed Joy recently and am working through some of his other stuff. Very refreshing and motivational (in some ways), breaking up a lot of barriers in my mind, if anyone can recommend any other revolutionary writers with a similar stance and way with words.

the anonymous italian pamphlet "at daggers drawn with existent" is a classic: https://libcom.org/library/daggers-drawn-existent-its-defenders-its-false-critics

os cangarceiros are pretty good too: http://theanarchistlibrary.org/library/os-cangaceiros-a-crime-called-freedom-the-writings-of-os-cangaceiros-volume-one and http://theanarchistlibrary.org/library/os-cangaceiros-millenarian-rebels-prophets-and-outlaws

malatesta is a essentially a founder of insurectionary anarchism: http://theanarchistlibrary.org/authors/errico-malatesta

so is Galleani: http://theanarchistlibrary.org/authors/luigi-galleani

*Apio Ludd/Wolfi Lanstreicher/Feral Faun (though, his focus changes alot over time, seemingly somewhat in time with the name changes).

*Renzo Novatore

*Willfil disobedience zine or anything from Venomous Butterfly Publications

I'd also recommend some of the post-left/anarchist writers around, such as those who wrote for Anarchy: A journal of desire armed or Modern Slavery.

I've heard people say that At Daggers Drawn was likely written by Massimo Passamani, who is defs part of that same Italian individualist/insurrectionary current.

Personally, when a lot of my friends were drawn to that (I feel like it was pretty "hip" in 2009/2010/2011) I was really enthusiastic about Introduction to The Apocalypse (https://www.indybay.org/uploads/2009/12/02/apocalypse_read.pdf) (link is to readable .pdf) and stuff that came out of the California student strikes (notably Communique from an Absent Future (http://wewanteverything.wordpress.com/2009/09/24/communique-from-an-absent-future/) and After The Fall (http://libcom.org/library/after-fall-communiques-occupied-california)).

The worst sort of people always seem to be drawn to this shit... Just a general observation (Bonanno is absolute garbage imo).

Erm...thanks for the "observation"...such loose generalisations are useless to me though.

Personally, I think it's pretty ridiculous, but, on the other hand, some people I sincerely respect love it, so . . . I'm generally willing to put it in the "agree to disagree" category.

A particularly funny case is Feral Faun/Wolfi Landstreicher - I think his stuff is utter garbage. Real grade A+ misogynist macho bullshit. But, funny enough, I think some of what he's translated (particularly the two volumes of writing by Os Cangeceros) is fucking great. So, you know, take from that what you will.

It's strange but I suspect that you and I are reading the feral faun piece with different conceptions coming into it, tgdu. It's been forever since we had this debate so I'll re-read the piece to see if my opinion on it has changed.

Though I do respect some of his writing, I do think you're right. The critique of the left, and in particular the "ideology of victimization" do have their valid points, this, along with other similar critiques from the post-left have a dangerous tendency to sideline any social struggle. I guess it's no surprise these writers are almost exclusively white men. So even though they critique the left, I feel they are infact emulating elements of the left that say everything comes down to class.

FieldHound, also, check out publications by Elephant Editions too.
