can anyone help me find a party that is libertarian/Democratic socialist but also supports the use of a vanguard?

Perhaps you should tell us what you mean by all of those things first, as "libertarian" could mean anything, "democratic socialists" run the gamut from regular socialists who use slightly dodgy names to full-on pro-imperialist traitors, and it is my firm belief that almost no one on the Internet knows what a vanguard party is.

Socialist Alternative is Trotskyist and they support Democratic Socialism according to Wikipedia.

That's still to broad to be meaningful. I mean, anything from Solidarity to SEP could fit the bill - if we gave you the entire list it would be a uselessly long one (or we could just go "JOIN MY GROUP" and not break eye contact until you do so, but from my experience that's a bad way to recruit people). So perhaps you could tell us a bit more about the sort of group you're looking for.

The common consensus from these threads seem to be that American left-wing parties are at best a joke, and at worst personality cults. There might be better local stuff where you're at... especially if you live in a big city. There are some demsocs in the Dems whom I know, but none of the politicians are like that. My advice is to just remain independent and not even bother with it.
