It is still corporate, I know, but they do allow more leftist participation. I was listening to Cornel West being interviewed by Abby Martin and he was saying things that you don't hear on CNN of MSNBC. She also interviewed Noam Chomsky, Prof. Griff and other people of a decided leftist persuasion.

There is more leftist thinkers on there such as Tom Hartman and Chris Hedges. But I think one should be careful because the Russian government seems to have a major influence on the network and how they report the news, especially when it comes to the Ukranian conflict.

Bourgeois propaganda, working in the interest of Russian imperialism. A left-wing presence only exists because it is critical to America and the EU, Russia's geopolitical opponents.

RT to me should be taken with a grain of salt as Russian propaganda is rampant within the articles of RT. Although they do good coverage of world events which are neutral in the the US-Russia rivalry. I recall good coverage on the Middle East and Latin America as well as some good articles on Africa and Asia. Basically they have correspondents in many countries which makes them an adequate source for world events. But Eastern European news should be taken with a grain of salt on RT.

Russia is very much a capitalist state yet RT hosts Richard Wolff regularly.

Indeed. But it's opposed to American imperialism and they're exposing crimes of American imperialism. So it's useful to watch them both to try to find a truth.
It's also interesting to watch Venezuelan TV: http://telesurtv.net/english/section/programs/index.html

Probably next to al-Jazeera and Free Speech TV (here in the States, anyway) the best thing to watch on TV for a more Left-wing or international opinion.
I don't watch TV in general though, I turned off the dial a while ago. Lost my remote. :o

In relation to covering Palestine, unconventional views and opinions it's better than most of the US channels.

I like Vice News lately. Sometimes their views suck, but I like their raw coverage and documentary journalism.

Russia Today's is simply Russian propaganda. Their ideology is anti-NATO and anti-EU first and foremost and will invite guests to talk shit about those two whether they are on the left or the right and you can tell just by reading the comments section. However, even in the steaming pile of shit, you can still find some diamonds.

Forget their politics for a moment - even if RT were neutral and not aligned with anyone, the fact remains that their reporting quality is poor and unreliable.

It's about as leftist as al-Jazeera or PressTV, which is to say not at all, "even if" they sometimes invite some liberal to talk and say bad things about the US (big deal, my racist grandma can do that). Perhaps they're slightly better than "rah-rah American imperialism" media (like Solidarity [/sectarian jab]) but that's really not saying a lot.

Yes RT are great when it comes to support for Russian imperialism and Swedish national socialism. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5sqw7-YHeMY
