So, I find myself feeling completely disinterested in music which lacks any political flavour of late. Obviously I listen to a lot of Gil Scott Heron, and have got my hands on a couple of compilations dealing with, in particular, the civil rights era, but I'm hoping there's more I'm unaware of. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

The new work of the coup is way more funk than hiphop and very good.

Alot of Parliament/Funkadelic's old stuff is pretty political in nature.

Cheers for the above suggestions. Any others?
