View Full Version : Bush plans to blame the UK

British intelligence is being targeted by the White House and President Bush to carry the lion's share of the blame for the failure to find weapons of mass destruction in Iraq.

The move threatens a huge row between London and Washington, and massive embarrassment for Tony Blair.

As the Prime Minister prepared to announce the Government's own top-level inquiry, it emerged that the Washington investigation into the run-up to the Iraq war is heading straight for a confrontation with MI6.

Bush wants American and Americans blamed as little as possible as this is an election year and he knows that if his government is let off the hook, he will have a better chance of keeping the Presidency

I REALLY hope that this is true.

Dissention in the ranks!!

But that it backfires horribly on that Bastard Bu$h. With a bit of luck, both he AND Blair will be kicked out in their respective elections. And I don not want "Labour" to remain in power either. In an ideal World, the greens would take over. Or even the liberals. Just not New Labour!!

Labour are the only party to have any members holding leftwing views, the trade unions are getting active again and the 'rebels' are making themselves heard at last - look at the tuition fees vote, there was a lot of 'rebels', its encouraging, and with blair gone perhaps the party will find its left feet again - its certaintly the only hope for Britain to start moving remotely left.

Dont kid yourself, Labour will not be leftwing again for generations if ever.

Those who are leftwing support Blair and new labour polcies because they know that is the only way they will get in power, sad but true.

I think it is absolutly fantastic. How ironic. Blair violently defended Bush against the critics who called him arrogant and opportunist and now he shall be eating his words...Oh the delite. How could one man be so wrong about everything. I feel no remorse for Tony Blair it has gotten his just deserves.

It just goes to show how unstable the ruling class actually is. These bastards couldnt stop talking about their great alliance with each other. But when the shit hits the fan they all go running. If this happens Blair will be a laughing stock not just in the Labour party but in the country. not only have they only been unable to find WMD but his only ally in the world is now turning his back on him...Ha ha and more ha

You know what the sad thing is ? The independent investigation into the intelligence failures won't be compelte until after election time.

Simply amazing...

Does Bush give half a shit about holding on to any allies? Bush is going to let Blair, his most powerful and probably closest ally, take the fall for this?

I am definitely not a Bush supporter, and I thought I had no faith in him... but I was not expecting him to stab his best friend in international politics in the back like this.

Just when ya think the guy has hit rock bottom, he sinks even lower...

Honestly, this does not surprise me. How often have we seen The White House (under ANY administration) blame others for their own incompetace? No, scratch that, how many times have we seen THIS administration blame others for their own incompetance?

I guess it IS official: George W. Bush intends on making the entire planet hate the United States.

However, I feel no sympathy for Tony Blair. If he only had a little foresight and common sense, he would have avoided the Bush Administration like it had Bubonic Plague. Now look what's happened.
