BREAKING: Fast Food Strike, Thursday!
Chris,
Fast food workers across the country are going ON STRIKE Thursday, September 4.
Help us get the word out RIGHT NOW – share our strike announcement on Facebook or Twitter.
Thursday will be the fifth time I’ve gone on strike, and I’m more determined than I’ve ever been. We know that we have momentum on our side. We know that people like you have our backs. And over the summer, we committed to do WHATEVER IT TAKES to get $15 an hour and the right to form a union without retaliation.
Me, I’m willing to do whatever it takes because I’m barely surviving on the $7.97 an hour I make at McDonald’s in Ferguson, Missouri. After everything that’s happened here in my community during the last month, I know that if I don’t stand up and fight for what I believe in, for what’s right, that nobody else will and nothing will ever change. This is our moment.
Fast food workers across the country are starting to experience that – what it feels like to fight for better pay and better treatment – and it’s amazing to see. We all hope that you’ll be standing right there with us on Thursday.
Show us – show the world – that you’re with us by sharing our strike announcement on Facebook or Twitter right now.
It’s good to know we can count on you,
Jeanina Jenkins
