Before former Chilean president Salvador Allende was ousted by a military coup in 1973, was his coalition a "socialist" majority or a "socialist" minority? I would like to know to further debunk a "democratic socialist" argument in the early 1920s about specifically "socialist" majority coalitions being able to implement their policies without backlash elsewhere in the state apparatus.

"Socialists" were a minority in votes and parliament, and arguably a minority within their own coalition:
