Alright so if you're a punk and you live in the USA, you've probably heard of Fest.
This will be my first year going and I'd appreciate some input as to what bands I should go to see.
Here's who I am planning on seeing so far:
Descendents
7 Seconds
RVIVR
Strike Anywhere
Melvins
Less Than Jake (just because they're from Gainesville so I'm hoping maybe they'll pump some extra energy into their show at Fest)
To be honest I'm not too familiar with most of the bands at Fest besides these. But a lot of them seem to be pop punk. Can anyone recommend what they think are the best bands are at Fest this year that generally aren't considered pop punk? I know that some of the stuff by some of the bands I already mentioned can be classified as pop punk, but in general it's not a a subgenre that I have much affinity for. Hardcore punk, thrashy punk, skate punk, anarcho-punk, Oi! punk, etc. are more my thing. Any recommendations?
