We Must Devour

Hello,
I'm a college kid living in the home of corruption (DC metro area). My dad has always been very active in politics, supporting and helping a lot of democrats in the area, so I've always been exposed to politics, but haven't been as active until the past few years. I've really come to despise capitalism and can attribute almost every problem in the world to it, but obviously I'd be looked at extremely condescendingly if I publicly shared it. What sucks even more is immobility- that it's so hard to bring about considerable change when I have so little power and have so few allies. Here, I hope to do a number of things:
Learn history- my views are based mostly on personal philosophy/ideology
Exchange ideas+solutions
Discuss current events
Discuss ways to take action
Make friends :)

Nice to meet everyone

Welcome :)

If you have political questions, you can ask them in the Learning forum. That's why it's there after all!

If you have questions about your account, don't hesitate to send me a PM or ask her.

What are your political ideas, if anything in particular?

I too like food. Welcome to the forum. If you have any questions related to birds or politics I can't help with the former but I would be happy to discuss the latter.

Thanks everyone
I'd say my name is much more about human nature than food but food is pretty awesome too
You could call me an anarchist or a socialist- I'm basically an extreme liberal that's anti-capitalist. I'm not too particular on this front because I'm more of a problem solver/analyzer. I often like to read about current events and share some facts+stats+history+opinion in a way to combat misinformation and apathy--which I see as one of the biggest issues in the US, not helped by endless propaganda from the government and free market. Pure and simple, as basic socialist doctrine dictates, I want to see the world focus on need rather than commodifying everything in our lives, including that which isn't physical.
