I figured that this video from Khan Academy would stimulate some discussion here and I would be interested to hear people's responses and perspectives. I fall more on the nurture side of the argument so as you can imagine, I like this piece of confirmation bias through an argument from authority ;).

I think this is very much based on the assumption that thought is identical with neurons and synapses, (which is very materialist); if that's being confirmed by research that's good news. I like the idea of being able to change myself in my own lifetime rather than being born as 'whatever' and that's it. change makes life more interesting...
plus if you can change yourself, you can improve on yourself and be happier- which is what really counts.
